abstract = {Abstraction, modularity and composability are
considered to be the fundamental properties behind
aspect-oriented software development and
aspect-oriented modeling (AOM) in particular. The
same properties are expected to be supported through
the use of domain-specific modeling languages
(DSMLs). However, little research is done to
investigate the symbiosis between the two paradigms.
In this position paper we firstly present the key
challenges for the successful integration of DSMLs
with an AOM approach. Furthermore, we elaborate in
detail on the question whether leveraging on
aspect-oriented programming languages offers benefits
over the use of traditional model composition. We
propose an experimental approach to evaluate these
alter- natives.},
